Description

Whispering Pines

***Due to the expensive nature of the functional art, proximity to water, and rustic location, children under the age of 12 will need prior approval to stay. We want to make sure this property is the right fit for you and your family!

With over 300 feet of river frontage and 600 feet of creek frontage, Whispering Pines presents a rustic, yet elegant escape into the rugged wilderness of Oregon. Rich and magnificent with its lodge-quality craftsmanship, this stunning four-bedroom home rests on 2400 square feet surrounded by lush foliage at every turn. Completely secluded and serene, this beautiful home is perfect for an adventurous getaway to the Pacific Northwest.

Whispering Pines sits on a gated, private parcel of land, bordered by Marten Creek to the west and the McKenzie River to the north. The common area in this gorgeous home is large and spacious, featuring two fireplaces, both with custom-built Yew mantles that contribute further to the natural feel of the home. While the house is rustic and secluded, new stonework, upscale Teak wood furnishings, and functional, unique art pieces can be found throughout the home, enriching the experience for you and your guests. Functional art pieces include a teak root coffee table, a carved bear tree floor lamp from Alaska, and a hand-knotted Tibetan rug in the family room. Drone footage of the property is available at www.WhisperingPinesOregon.com.

The kitchen is outfitted with upgraded and modern luxuries, such as shining quartz kitchen counters and incredible appliances that will cook each meal to perfection. As the home is remote, we do recommend that you stock up on groceries beforehand, ensuring you’ll be prepared to enjoy delicious, homemade meals each night. When dinner is served, settle around the 120-year old maple tree dining table and enjoy. After dinner pop some popcorn in the old-school popcorn machine and put on a movie.

The master bedroom and the second king room can be found on the main level, while the upstairs wing holds both queen bedrooms. Each bedroom features locally-crafted custom pine bed frames. The upstairs bathroom is shared between the two bedrooms and has a separate and private shower room. The full-sized balcony upstairs features fantastic views of the property. The upstairs wing is connected to the main floor via an enclosed breezeway, giving the upstairs wing complete privacy. There's also a bunk bedroom if you require extra sleeping space.

In a separate building, you’ll have access to weight room, perfect for those who want to keep up their routine. The weight room comes with free weights, kettlebells, bench press, leg press, and plenty of other machines and gear. After a workout, rejuvenate your senses in the large hot tub!

You’ll find plenty of outdoor seating along the banks of the river, on the spacious back decks, and elsewhere on the property. As the sun goes down, lounge on the deck or down by the water and enjoy the stunning scenery. Paths wind through the forest, leading you to Marten Creek and McKenzie River, where you’ll find ample opportunities for swimming, fishing, and rafting! No motors are allowed on the river, ensuring the environment stays quiet and serene. Built on a rock foundation, the riverfront is solid rock – giving you one large, natural patio to play on! The property comes with a portable grill that operates on propane, making river-side cookouts easy.

The area surrounding the home is rich with waterfalls, rivers, hiking trails, and plenty of opportunities for exploring. Whether you’re hiking, rafting, fly-fishing, or something else, make sure you get out of your comfort zone and have an adventure! While the property is secluded, there are small restaurants and cafes nearby, including Ike’s Pizza, a local favorite!

Reconnect with nature and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life at Whispering Pines!

** There are security cameras on-site, which are disabled once the Meet-and-Greet has taken place.

Reviews

Peaceful and gorgeous river front home.

Homeowners have thought of everything!!! We had a wonderful week. Weather did not cooperate so much but our family enjoyed many enjoyable hours playing cards and games in front of the fireplace. A few evenings a fire on the river was so special. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you cannot find a more relaxing home. Half of us even jumped in the 47 degree river..... brrrrrr long fun float!!! We would highly recommend.”

Beautiful and peaceful- right on the McKenzie River

The home was beautiful and the property was spectacular! So many places to sit and watch the beauty of the river. We loved hearing the turkeys gobble and seeing so many different kinds of birds while sitting on the deck. So much fun to watch rafters go by as well. The owners have thought of everything to make the house comfortable. Well stocked and so organized. If you love to fish, raft, hike or just relax and take in the beauty this is a perfect retreat.”
